What is the Anti-Griefing Co-op?
In Minecraft, the term “griefing” refers to the act of destroying and/or sabotaging another gamer’s creations without their consent. The word “griefer” comes from the grief that these acts cause other players. “Co-op” refers to both gaming with friends as well as the idea of co-ownership.
To be part of the Anti-Griefing Co-op is to take responsibility for a shared space and embody leadership, empathy, and community. It requires creating and understanding boundaries, communicating effectively, and fostering positive social connections.
What Do we offer?
We offer social emotional learning group sessions within a private Minecraft server. During these sessions, members build, play, explore, and chat while practicing the skills necessary to thrive in the modern world.
Through weekly objectives and topics, we explore what it means to build empathy, be a leader, and create community.
Each group session runs for 50 minutes and meets within a private Minecraft server as well as a separate web based audio channel.
Groups are comprised of up to 5 members within the same age bracket.
Conversations follow a pre-written curriculum.
Objectives of the week run parallel to the conversation topic.
